Engaging with plants through papermaking, gardening, hiking, swimming and cooking inspires visions, ideas and materials. What if…? Experiments give way to projects that may lead to a series or one of a kind pieces that explore unusual juxtapositions and different characteristics of a particular plant. For example, the tenacity of cornsilk or cedar bark after cooking can yield beautiful colors and textures within a finished paper.
