Papermaking

I am still amazed and fascinated by how many different plants can become paper and the variety (texture, strength, color) of distinctive qualities of that paper. Pulling sheets and couching is a very satisfying experience. After I’ve prepared a variety of different plant pulps (as in a workshop) I have a plethora of choices that conjure a feeling of endless possibility allowing for an intuitive process to unfold. Whether planned out or spontaneously responding to the moment, it is a joyful process.
