Gravity is a law I like to play with. Engaging in a dialogue with the materials I must slow down and “listen” carefully to the push and pull and their willingness to engage with me. I am endlessly fascinated by the inter-relationships between and the specific nature of different plants. The gestures of the free-standing sculptures express the personality of the form. Often the light and shadows become a character in the performance.
